Madelyn (Combs) Grunden

Madelyn Grunden, age 82, of Celina, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at the St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. She was born on Oct. 16, 1937 to the late Willie and Doris (Tipton) Combs. On June 6, 1955 She married Donald G. Grunden, who preceded her in death. Survivors include her significant other Johnny Provci of Celina, her children; Debra Greve of Wapakoneta, Ronald Grunden of Columbus, Herbert (Diane) Grunden of Celina, David (Janet) Grunden of Celina, Nichole (Doug) Golden of Celina, Jason (Amy) Grunden of Columbus, Libby (Andy) Wilson of Springfield, Jill (John) Griesdorn of St. Sebastian, twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, two brothers and sisters-in-law James (Vicki) Combs of Celina, Frank (Brenda) Combs of Ontario Canada and two sister and brothers-in-law Norma Young of Celina, Deb (Ronald) Miller of Celina and Ed Butturini Jr. of Celina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Anthony “Tony” Grunden, great granddaughter Addison Berner, brother Thomas Combs and three sisters and brothers-in-law Rita (Willaim) Craft, Louise Beggs, Brenda Butturini and Lester Young.

Madelyn retired from Crown Equipment Corporation in Ft. Loramie. She was a member of the South Shore Sportsman Club of Grand Lake and a member of the Celina Moose Lodge #1473. She enjoyed going to the Casino and playing poker machines and spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30a.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Herb Wilker officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mercer Memory Gardens Cemetery in Celina. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. on Monday January 13, 2020 and a hour before services at the funeral Home on Tuesday.
