Patricia "Patty" L. (Birt) Fleck

Patricia “Patty” Louise Fleck, age 89 of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.

Patty was born on April 11, 1930 to the late Frank and Clara (Murray) Birt. On September 30, 1949 she married Steve Fleck who preceded her in death in 1993.

Survivors include all four of their children; Mike (Bernice) Fleck of Napoleon, Debbie (Rick) Krause of Indianapolis, Jill (Randy) Engel of Celina, and Scott (Julie) Fleck of Celina, as well as eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by all five of her siblings; Violet Davis, Lovell Birt, Thelma Ott, Mary Katherine Smalley, and Doyle Birt.

Patty was a proud graduate of Celina Senior High School class of 1948. She was a cheerleader and entertainer who graced everyone she met with good humor and great storytelling. She was a lifelong member of Montezuma Church of Christ and deeply grateful for a good and simple life. Some of her crowning achievements include piloting a plane, reciting the alphabet backwards, and being a prize worthy champion of crappie fishing and bingo with friends. Patty leaves a legacy of deep love, joyful laughter, and abiding faith with her family who adored her.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Pastor Craig Flack officiating. Burial will follow in the North Grove Cemetery in Celina.

A visitation will be held from 4-8p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2019 and one hour before services on Saturday at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home.
