Bernadette M. Adams, age 80, of 9315 State Route 197 Celina, passed away at 9:39p.m. on Monday Dec. 29, 2014 at the Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 16, 1934 in Hoagland, IN to the late Alphonse & Virginia (Minnich) Sorg. On May 30, 1959 she married Edward Adams, who survives in Celina. Also surviving are her children Cheryl & Jeff Shreves of Galena, Julianne & Gary Clark of Colorado Springs, CO, Duane & Angie Adams of Spencerville, Kevin & Kathy Adams of Celina, Lyn & Bill Basey of Celina, Pat & Zenia Adams of Celina, Angela & Greg Gomez of Antioch, IL, Karen & Di Do of Clarksville, TN, Cassandra & Ben Carr of Dundalk, MD, 26 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, brothers & sisters-in-law Ronald & Carol Sorg of Hoagland, IN, Russell "Butch" & Sharon Sorg of Yoder, IN, sisters Irene Shelburn of Hoagland, IN, Marjorie Meyers, Jeanette Klingenberger, Vickie Vachon all of Ft. Wayne, IN and Helene Spieth of Monroeville, IN. She was preceded in death by her daughter Rosetta Adams, one grandson, brothers-in-law Bob Meyers, Leon Shelburn, Dale Klingenberger, Dick Vachon, Jim Spieth. Bernadette graduated from Hoagland High School with the Class of 1952. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. She was a member of the Mom & Pop's Bowling League, the Alter Rosary Society and a CCD Aide at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren, watching the Cincinnati Reds and the Indianapolis Colts. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00a.m. on Saturday Jan 3, 2015 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will follow in Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina. Friends may call from 2-8p.m. on Friday Jan 2, 2015 at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.
