Betty Jane Wellman, age 92, of 430 E. Anthony St. in Celina, Ohio passed away at 10:45a.m. on Tuesday, October 08, 2013 at Celina Manor Nursing Home in Celina, Ohio. She was born on October 12, 1920 in Van Wert , Ohio to the late Orley and Jennie (Baker) Putman. On June 30, 1946 she married William E. Wellman, who died in 1959. Betty is survived by her son & daughter-in-law William (Bill) & Marcy Wellman of Celina, 4 grandchildren Eric Wellman of Mansfield, Amy & Craig Broering of Celina, Jenny & Brian McCrory of Holland, Staci & Eric Langenkamp of Wapakoneta, 7 great grandchildren and her sister Joan Schlatter of Van Wert. She was preceded in death by her son Roger Wellman, sister & brothers-in-law Becky & James Agler and Fred Schlatter. Betty was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Celina. She was an Avid Celina Fan and attended all of Celina sporting events. Betty was an honorary member of the C-Man Club of Celina High School. She worked in the Celina School cafeteria for 25yrs and retired as the Cafeteria Manager in May of 1984. Funeral services will be held at 10:30a.m. on Friday Oct. 11, 2013 at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Celina, with Rev. Diane Mendelson officiating. Burial will follow in North Grove Cemetery in Celina. Friends may call from 2-8p.m. on Thursday Oct. 10, 2013 at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina and 1 hour before services on Friday at the Church.
