Cathy Jo Prenger, age 50 of 8737 Oldtown Rd. in Celina, Ohio passed away at 7:20p.m. on Wednesday Feb. 5, 2014 at her home with her family. She was born on Dec. 31, 1963 in St. Marys, Ohio to John & Jill (Hollman) Bowers, whom live in St. Marys. On August 11, 1990 she married John Prenger. Also surviving are her children Austin and Shelby Prenger of Celina, brothers Mark & Patty Bowers of St. Marys and Dan & Barbara Bowers of Bell Center. Cathy was preceded in death by an Infant brother Eric L. Bowers. She graduated from St. Marys Memorial High School with the Class of 1982. She was employed at Good Year Tire & Rubber (Veyance) in St. Marys. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. Cathy was a 4-H Advisor / Member for Auglaize, then Mercer Counties. She was a Girl Scout and Rainbow Girl of St. Marys. Riding Horses was her passion, she was a Life Member of the American Quarter Horse Association and Volunteered at the Lima Equestrian Therapy. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday Feb 10, 2014 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Kenneth G. Alt C.PP.S. officiating. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday Feb. 9, 2014 and from 9-10 a.m. on Monday Morning at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina. Memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina or Mercer County Fairground 4-H Horse and Cattle Show Barn.
