Dickie D. May, age 77 of Celina, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at his residence in Celina. He was born on June 28, 1945 to the late James M. and Ardyth (Crouch) May in Celina. On April 22, 1967, he married Jean "Cookie" Richter who survives in Celina. He is survived by his child Rachel May of Celina, sister Melanie (Jim) Langenkamp of Celina, sister-in-law Sue May of Celina, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter Tammie May, brother Joe May, parents, and parents-in-law. Dickie graduated from Celina High School with the class of 1964. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam from 1965-1967. He was a member of the Coldwater American Legion Post #470 and the Ft. Recovery Gun Club. He owned and operated Dick May's Welding shop and retired from AVCO New Idea after 35 years. He was an avid fan of Eldora Speedway attending events for 60 years, he enjoyed sprint car racing, hunting, trapping, fishing, and playing pool and cards. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, November 21, 2022 at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home, with Pastor Roy Hall officiating. Burial will follow at the Mercer Memory Gardens Cemetery at a later date. Friends and family may call from 2:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home.
