Donald Heckler, age 60 of Celina, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022 at the St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. He was born on July 7, 1962 in Celina to the late Maurice and Hannah (Sunderhaus) Heckler, who survives in Celina. He is survived by his siblings David Heckler (Carly Borelli) of Springfield, IL, Debra Heckler (Kenneth Swann) of Celina, and three nieces Kennedy Swann, Kelsey Swann, and Paige Heckler. Donald graduated from Celina High School with the class of 1980. He was a freelance audio engineer for 20 years and the soundman for the Niswonger Performing Arts Center in Van Wert. His proudest moment was setting up and managing the 2012 Super Bowl Half Time Show at the Lucas Oil Stadium. He enjoyed spoiling and spending time with his nieces. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home, with Deacon Charles Salway officiating. Burial will follow at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Friends and family may call from 9:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the Heckler family would prefer memorial contributions be directed to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 229 W.
