Dorothy Helen Hoyng, 84 of Celina, Ohio passed away on Tuesday March 21, 2023 at The Gardens at Celina. She was born on August 22, 1938 in Celina, Ohio to the late Herbert and Asella (Miller) Muhlenkamp. On Oct. 4, 1958 she married Louis Edwin Hoyng, who preceded her in death on June 12, 2018. Survivors include her children Daniel (Elaine) Hoyng of Rockland, MA, David (Amy) Hoyng of Celina, four grandchildren Sarah Hoyng, Adam Hoyng, Caleb Hoyng, Alyssa Hoyng, step grandchildren Kristin (Eddie) Walsh, John Quigg, Mary Quigg, Michael Quigg, great granddaughter Adalyn Hoyng, step great grandchildren Noah Walsh, Maeve Walsh, Emily Walsh, Teddy Walsh, and brother Jerry (Eileen) Muhlenkamp of Celina. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Brian Hoyng, her brothers and sisters-in-law Bernard (Kathleen) Muhlenkamp, Laverne (Patti) Muhlenkamp, Robert (Josephine) Muhlenkamp, her sisters and brothers-in-law Pauline (Paul) Hess, and MaryAnn (Alvin) Saintignon. Dorothy was a 1957 graduate of Immaculate Conception Catholic High School. She was a housewife and owned and operated Hoyng Custom Upholstery Shop with her husband. She formerly worked at Mersman Brother Table Company in Celina and was a cafeteria worker for the City of Celina schools. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. She was a member of the Alter Rosary, Daughters of Isabella, and a former member of the Immaculate Conception Parish Council. She was a caregiver and advocate for her son Brian for 27 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Rob Muhlenkamp officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina. Family and Friends may call from 2:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. on Friday, March 24, 2023 and from 9:00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. on Saturday at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.
