Floyd E. Heiby, age 90, of Celina, Ohio passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Gardens in Celina. He was born on April 23, 1928 in Celina, Ohio to the late Ralph and Emma (Hehmeyer) Heiby. On Nov. 5, 1949 he married Joanne Swartz, who died Feb. 11, 2011. Survivors include his three children: Richard (Beth) Heiby, Kris Heiby, and Linda (Bruce) Boley all of Celina. Floyd has six grandchildren; Ellyse (Brian) Sites, Travis (Saylor) Boley, Alex (Staci) Heiby, Scott (Erin) Boley, Sean (Whitney) Boley and Andy Heiby. He also has eight great-grandchildren: Owen, and Elliot Heiby, Carson Sites, Caleigh Leslie, Micah Boley, Madilyn Boley, Connor Boley, Kensleigh Boley and his sister-in-law Alice Heiby of Celina. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brothers and sister-in-law Glenn Heiby and Norman (Phyllis) Heiby. Floyd was a graduate of Celina High School and a life-long farmer and a rural mail carrier for many years. He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Celina. He enjoyed his family and friends. Working outdoors gave him a great pleasure in life. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye and Celina Bulldog fan. Funeral services will be held at 10:30a.m. on Wednesday July 18, 2018 at the St. John Lutheran Church in Celina, with Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in the North Grove Cemetery in Celina. Friends may call from 4:00p.m. until 6:00p.m. on Tuesday July 17, 2018 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina and a hour before services on Wednesday at the Church.
