Francis J. Winget, age 85 of Celina, Ohio passed away on Monday Jan. 8, 2018, he was living in the Gardens at Celina Nursing Home. He was born on Aug. 26, 1932 in Celina, Ohio to the late Milton F. and Emma (Gertz) Winget. On March 15, 1952 he married Gloria Lehman, who died Sept. 3, 2012. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law Garry and Kristine Winget of Celina, his daughter and son-in-law Vicki and Jim Combs of Celina, 4 grandchildren: Cory and Abbie Hathaway, Kelly Hathaway, Robbie Winget, Stefanie & Kris Berry, 4 great grandchildren and his sister Marcia Gray of Celina. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his stillborn son Steve Winget sister Darlene Cole and his brother-in-law Mike Gray. Francis graduated from Celina High School with the Class of 1950. He was a Personnel Safety Manager for Mersman Brothers Furniture Company in Celina for 38 years. He also worked as a corrections officer at the Mercer County Sheriff's office for 7 years before he retired in 1989. Francis was a member of the Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina. Funeral services will be held at 1:00p.m. on Friday Jan. 12, 2018 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Mick Whistler officiating. Burial will follow in North Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. on Friday before services at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina.
