Frederick A. "Fritz" Schulz, 87, of Celina, formerly of Ft. Wayne, passed away at 7:55 a.m. Saturday March 3, 2018 at Celina Manor. He was born on May 11, 1930 in Ft. Wayne to Frederick & Edna (Kruckeburg) Schulz who preceded him death. On August 22, 1952 he married Marilyn L. Shonefield and she passed away on February 23, 2018. Fritz graduated from Tulane University, New Orleans in 1953 with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture. While in college he was an A.A.C All-American basketball player. He was employed by Fanning Howey and other various firms between Celina and Ft. Wayne. Survivors include a daughter, Karin (Robert) Staats of Fort Wayne; two granddaughters, Amy Kreiger of Markle, and Kari (Andy) Irick of Fort Wayne; four great-grandchildren, Kassie, Brent, Drew, and Keyton; and a brother-in-law Gerald Vorndran. He was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Vorndran. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Community Health Professionals.
