James Dale DeArmond, age 76, of Celina, Ohio passed away on May 23, 2024 at his residence in Celina. James aka (Jim) was born May 23rd, 1948 in Van Wert Ohio. He was adopted and raised by Donald and Naomi DeArmond on the family farm west of Rockford. Jim graduated from Parkway High School with the Class of 1966. He was a truck driver for Schroyer Inc., New Idea, and Hunt transportation for many years before retiring. When he wasn't driving, you could find him enjoying a cold one and surrounded by great friends. Jim was a member of the Celina Moose, Coldwater FOE, and the Celina VFW for many years. He was preceded by his parents, Don and Naomi DeArmond, along with his biological mother Loretta Crowell and brother Gerald Crowell. He survived by two sons Donald (Tina) DeArmond of Celina and James (Michelle) DeArmond of Ft. Wayne, along with seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Jim is also survived by five siblings Judith, Jenni, Kevin, Janice, and Pamela, several Nieces and Nephews and his former wife Joan DeArmond and former daughter in-law Valerie DeArmond. A celebration of life service, honoring Jim's life, will be held from 1:00p.m. until 3:00p.m. on Saturday, June 1st, 2024 at Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.
