James Kent Norton, age 68 of Celina passed away at 2:50p.m. on Monday June 1, 2015 at the Hospice Center in Greenville, Ohio. He was born on Sept. 6, 1946 in Middlesboro, KY to the late James Earl & Altha (Mckinney) Norton. On May 26, 2001 he married Tina (Steinke) Green, who survives in Celina. Also surviving are his children Jeff & Denise Norton of Sidney, Denise & Shawn Lawler, Diane Aselage, Jamie Norton all of St. Marys, one step-daughter Shelly Green of Florida nine grandchildren Rachel Elliott, Tyler Norton, Brittany Walters, Jake Lawler, Nicole Crouch, Jordan Crouch, Chelsie Smith, Jenna Norton, Jase Norton, Three great grandchildren, sister Linda Brooks of Celina and three brothers Melvin Norton of Celina, Brad Norton of St. Marys and Alvin Norton of Portland. He was preceded in death by his brother Larry Don Norton, and his sisters Carol Stienecker and Gayle Boley. James graduated from St. Marys High School. He retired from Goodyear in St. Marys after 35 years of service in 2001. A graveside memorial services will be held at 10:00a.m. on Saturday June 6, 2015 at the Swamp College Cemetery in Celina, with Rev. Tony Richmond officiating.
