Janice J. Evans, age 87, of 2901 York St, Celina, Ohio, died on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at her home. She was born September 23, 1924 in Coldwater, Ohio to the late Forest and Ada (McNair) Ensign. On May 29, 1948 she married Ernest Holmes Evans and he died January 17, 2004. Janice is survived by three children, Nancy & Chuck Hoselton of Union City, TN, William H. & Shelley Evans of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Julie & Doyle Fledderjohn of Celina, Ohio 6 grandchildren, 1 step grandchild, 9 great-grandchildren, 5 step great-grandchildren and a brother Dr. Hoyt & Betty Ensign of Toledo, Ohio. She is preceded in death by two sisters Mercile Bair & Gladis Temme. She was a member of New Life Christian Center, Alturian Club of Celina, a 1942 graduate of Coldwater High School, a 1946 graduate of Flower Hospital School of nursing and she was a cadet nurse during WWII. She worked as a private duty nurse in various area hospitals; she worked at Otis Hospital until 1977 and retired from Celina Manor in 1989. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
