Jerry Sacher, age 81 of Celina, Ohio passed away on May 3, 2017 in Pinehurst, N.C. He was born on June 22, 1935 in Celina, Ohio to Vernon "Mox" & Anna (Sunderhaus) Sacher, whom both preceded him in death. Jerry is survived by the love of his life, Cindy (Chittum) Sacher of Celina and his children; Paula and John Snowden of Dayton, Greg A. & Karry Sacher of Sugarcreek, Carla Sacher of Kettering, five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded by three brothers and a sister. He graduated for the Immaculate Conception Catholic High School in 1952, then was in the United Sates Marine Corps until 1956. Jerry was a retired accountant. He was a member of the Celina Grand Lake Aerie of F.O.E. # 1291. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday May 13, 2017 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Kenneth G. Alt C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Military honors will follow the Mass on Saturday. A memorial gathering will be held from 5-8p.m, on Friday May 12, 2017, to celebrate Jerry's life at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina and before his prayer service on Saturday morning from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Paw Patrol at Pawpatroldayton.com.
