Jerry Lee Lehman, age 47 of New Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at his residence in New Carlisle. He was born on September 18, 1977 in Van Wert to the late David and Mary (Emerson) Lehman. He is survived by his children Shyann (Kyle) Longsworth, Shannon Lehman both of Decatur, IN, Dakota Lehman of Celina, two step-daughters Kylie (Brandon) Newland of Cridersville, Jessica (Dylan) Hoover of Vandalia, step son Jarret Burke of Springfield, six grandchildren; Shannon Lehman Jr, Jasper Michael David Lehman, Emberly Grace Longsworth, Arabella Laine Longsworth, Kastiel Ryn Longsworth, Alexandria Arminda Longsworth, six step grandchildren; Maddison Nicole Newland, Jacelynn Newland, Addilynn Newland, Carter Hoover, Kelly Hoover, Josie Hoover, two half-brothers; Farron Sites, Terry Sites both of Van Wert, girlfriend Jennifer Ringer of New Carlisle, close friend Judy Burke-Payne of New Carlisle and mother of his children Sonya (Henderson) Smith of Decatur, IN. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Jack, David and Ron Lehman. He was employed at AutoZone as a sales manager and owned and operated D & J Automotive Repair shop, a shop that him and his father started when he was just a child which sparked his love of being a mechanic in the Automotive industry, he enjoyed working outside on cars and also bumping his sound systems in his vehicles every chance he got. He truly enjoyed spending his time if it wasn't on cars or with his family it was simply his alone time that he cherished. A memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home, with Rev. Randy Christian officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Rockford. Friends and family may call from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home.
