Jim M. "Money" Monroe, age 69 of Celina, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. He was born on June 4, 1955, to the late Clifford and Jesselyn E. (Archer) Monroe in Celina, Ohio. On September 10, 1983, he married Linda Charlene Moorman, who survives, living in Celina. He is also survived by his four loving children Melissa (Doug) Schwieterman of Celina, Nikki Della Vella of Avon, Jamie (Mitchell) Nutt of Celina and Brian Monroe of Celina. He has left behind eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, which he adored. Jim is survived by his brother Jerry Monroe of Ft. Myers, FL, four sisters Patsy Rohler of Celina, Martha (Larry) Knapke of Celina, Jetta (Ed) Mutter of Celina and Terri (Bob) Shinn of Celina. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister-in-law Theresa Monroe and brothers-in-law Jim Rohler and Mike Costanzo. Jim graduated from Celina High School with the class of 1973. He was formerly employed at JC Penny's Grocery, Huffy's, Riesen Plumbing, and Ken's Carryout. Jim joined the Celina Moose Lodge #1473 in 1976. Five years later, in 1981, he took on the role of club manager, and shortly thereafter, he became the lodge's secretary. In 1986, he was appointed as the lodge administrator. He was a member of the Celina American Legion Post #210, Celina V.F.W. Post #5713, Coldwater Eagles Grand Lake Aerie #3025, a 32nd Degree member of the Celina Masonic Lodge #241 F. & A.M., and the Antioch Temple of the Shrine. A public visitation for friends and family will be held from 12:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life and dinner will follow at 6:30 P.M. at the Celina American Legion Post #210. Jim was generous in contributing to numerous charities, therefore please donate to a charity of your choice. Condolences may be shared with the Monroe Family on-line at LehmanDzendzelFH.com.
