Kay Virginia Hume, age 73, of7431 Celina Mendon Rd. in Celina, Ohio passed away at 12:40a.m. on June26, 2011 at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born on November 30, 1937 in Delphos , Ohio to Fred and Rosemary (Langemeyer) Shipman.
Kay is survived by: Husband James Hume of Celina, Children: Kris & Greg Greenwood of San Diego CA, son Kurt & Kyla Eversman of St. Marys, Kim & Robbie Young of St. Marys, Step Children Jolisa Hume of Plano TX, Jennifer Hume of Oakland, CA, Jodi Brandon of Celina, 5 Grandchildren 3 Step Grandchildren, 2 Step Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her Second Husband Bob Frideger, who died in 1989.
Kay Graduated from Memorial High School in St. Marys, Ohio in 1955. She received her B.S. in Education from Wright State University in 1976 and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Kay was a member of the American Legion Post #210 of Celina Aux. and the St. Marys V.F.W. Aux Post #9289. She retired from Goodyear in St. Marys in 2000, then she was employed by Big Bear in Celina and Country Market in Wapakoneta.
