Lou Ann Marie Wendel age 86 of Celina, Ohio passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the Otterbein St. Marys Senior Life Community. She was born on Oct. 24, 1936 in St. Henry, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Elsie (Thein) Geier. She is also preceded in death by her two husbands Tom Frysinger, Joe Wendel, step daughter Louise Rye, her brothers Louis Geier, Larry Geier, her sister Rita (Lavern) Kunk and step son-in-law Tim Makley She is survived by her Children Tim (Lisa) Frysinger of St. Marys, Pam Frysinger of Palmentto, FL, Karen (Charles) Niekamp of Celina, step sons Mark (Pam) Wendel of St. Marys, John (Jenny) Wendel of New Bremen, step daughter Julie Makley of New Knoxville, Patti Folk of St. Marys and Theresa Wendel of Palmentto, FL. LouAnn is also survived by four grandchildren Doug (Carrie) Niekamp of Coldwater, Cathy Niekamp of Centerville, Amy (Andrew) Group of Troy, Erin (Daniel) Irons of Powell, two great grandchildren Crew Irons, Luxe Irons, several step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren, two sisters and brothers-in-law Esther (Tom) Gray of Celina and Jean (Rich) Schroer of Coldwater and two sisters-in-law Kathy Geier of Hollywood, Fl, Mary Geier of Coldwater. Lou Ann graduated from the Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Celina with the Class of 1954. She was a former member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Montezuma and the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Celina. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Rob Muhlenkamp officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina. Friends may call from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until prayers at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grand Lake Hospice C/O JTD Hospital Foundation 200 St. Clair St., St. Marys, Ohio 45885.
