Madonna M. Koontz, age 77 of Celina, Ohio passed away on September 14, 2015 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. She was born on Jan. 14, 1938 in Celina, Ohio to the late Thornton Alton and Ada Luetta (Highley) Spohn. On November 4, 1956 she married Dwight Koontz, who died October 21, 2010. Surviving are two sons & daughters-in-law Kevin & Jessica Koontz of Celina, Kerry & Amy Koontz of Van Wert, grandchildren Lauren, Karlyn, and Landrie, sister-in-law Lois Spohn of Albany Georgia and Joan Stetler of Rockford. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Roger Spohn. She was a graduate of Celina High School, Class of 1956. She was a retired office associate from J. C. Penney, after 30 years of service. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Celina, the PHI-BETA-PSI sorority and the Red Hat Society. Madonna enjoyed her family, friends, the Ohio State Buckeye's and Playing Cards. A memorial service will be held at 10:00a.m. on Saturday September 19, 2015 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Jeff Gramza officiating. Burial will follow her services in Swamp College Cemetery on Saturday. Friends may call an hour before services at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home.
