Marjorie Miesse, 91, of Roseville, CA, formerly of Celina, OH, passed away at 9:03 A.M. on Saturday, November 14, 2020 She was born on September 22, 1929 to the late Carl & Blanche (West) Buck at their farm in Mercer County. On May 15, 1949, she married Robert O. Miesse and he passed away on May 9, 1997. Survivors include a son, David O. (Lisa) Miesse; a daughter-in-law Suzanne Miesse; 3 grandchildren Sarah (Marco) Lalau, Lauren Miesse both of CA, Scott Miesse of New York City all of whom she loved dearly and was so proud of their accomplishments; 2 great-grandchildren Caio Lalau and Catalina Lalau both of CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Robin Lynn Miesse, a son Timothy S. Miesse, 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Marjorie had many jobs in her life. She worked at Stokley's peeling tomatoes and Houser News Stand serving ice cream when she met her husband at 16. She graduated from that job when she turned 18 and was hired at Kroger as a checker in St. Mary's. From there she worked at Goodyear. She last worked as a secretary for her husband at Siler & Miesse Insurance Agency until they sold the business. She enjoyed being "a stay at home" Mom" for her sons until they graduated high school and went off to college. She was also a member of the Celina Eastern Star for 38 years. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Grand Lake United Methodist Church with Rev. Diane Mendelson officiating. Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery in Celina. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Saturday at Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina. Attendees are required to wear masks, practice social distancing, and follow the COVID-19 guidelines established by Governor DeWine and the Ohio Department of Health.
