Myron Eugene Hyatt, age 90, of Celina, Ohio passed away early Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at the Gardens at Celina. He was born on June 17, 1930 in Indianapolis, IN to the late James Earl and Mildred (Woods) Hyatt. On January 10, 1998 he married Betty Miller, who died January 19, 2019. Myron is survived by his children Pam (Mike) Hoying of Coldwater, Cindy (Tony) Berelsman of Ft. Jennings, Jim (Denise) Hyatt of St. Henry; his step children Kathy (Greg) Correll and Steve (Kim) Winans both of Celina; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, nine step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Sue (Tetrick), and second wife, Mary Lou (Alexander) Hyatt. Also preceding him in death was his brother William Hyatt, a sister and brother-in-law Barbara (Gene) Miller, and grandson, Joel Hoying. Myron graduated from Arlington High School in 1948 and attended Ball State University. He was Manager of Marsh Stores, a supervisor at New Idea and worked at Lehman Funeral Home. Myron proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict and earned the National Defense Service Medal and Korean Service Medal. He was a member of the Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina. He was a member of the Celina Masonic Lodge #241 F&AM and a member of the Celina Flying Sportsman Club. He enjoyed bowling, basketball and fishing. He loved wintering in Florida with Betty, where they would play golf and enjoy life. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2020 at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home, with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will be held in the Arlington (Indiana) East Hill Cemetery at 2:30p.m. on Friday. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2020 and on Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Attendees are asked to follow social distancing and guidelines dictated by the Ohio Department of Health, due to the National Health Concerns of Covid-19. Memorial contributions may be made to Celina Masonic Lodge #241 F&AM, or Cancer Association of Mercer County, 218 South Main Street; Suite A/PO Box 624, Celina Ohio 45822.
