Nancy Estella (Morrill) Richards age 83 of Celina, Ohio passed away at 6:00a.m. on Thursday Jan. 22, 2015 at home with her family. The daughter of the late Maurice & Cedelia (McNary) Morrill, she was born in Mt. Pleasant, MI., and raised in Lansing, MI., where she met and married her husband of 62 years, Gerald Richards, on April 26, 1952. She survives along with three children and their spouses: Cindy & Ronald Birt of Pomeroy, Karen Richards & Kevin Kelly of Washington, VT., Ronald & Tammy (Rolfes) Richards of Celina. She has a grandson Dylan & Katie Birt of Lewiston, ME, and a great granddaughter Lucy Lewis Birt. She is also survived by two sisters, Jeanne Miller and Doris Andrews both of Lansing, MI, and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her two brothers-in-laws Harold "Pudge" Miller and Robert Andrews. She worked for the Celina City Schools for Eighteen years as the secretary, before retiring in 1991. She loved sewing and gardening, was an active member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Celina, played bridge, attended history club and sorority, and played tennis at the Racket Club for years, finally giving up the sport at the age of 77. Before and after retirement, Nancy and Jerry traveled extensively. A Memorial service will be held at 11:30a.m. on Saturday Jan. 31, 2015 at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Celina, with Rev. Diane Mendelson officiating. Burial will be held at a later date, in North Grove Cemetery in Celina. Friends may call from 9:30a.m.-11:30a.m. on Saturday Jan. 31, 2015 at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul's United Methodist Church Building Fund, Community Health Professionals-Home Health & Hospice.
