Ned Duane Pryer, age 74, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020 at his residence in Celina. He was born on August 13, 1946 to the late Robert and Ella (Lee) Pryer. On October 15, 1989, he married JoAnn Vorhees, who survives in Celina. He is survived by his children Kelly Montgomery of Hartford City, IN, Amy (Dustin) George of Hartford City, IN, Hope (Doug) Beckley of Hartford City, IN, Derek (Taylor) Pryer of Celina, Aaron Nuding of Celina, Tina (Keith) Houts of Celina, Sara (Danny) Hensley of Sweetwater, TN, sixteen grandchildren Kirsten, Britt, Emma, Baylor, Camden, Easten, Lane, Presley, Cruz, Alexis, Beckham, Sawyer, Chloe, Kaden, Cale, Kobe, one great granddaughter Addie, brother and sister-in-law Tom (Shirley) Pryer of Celina and sister-in-law Sue (Mike) Bell of Sarasota, FL. He is proceeded in death by his parents, his granddaughter Alivia and his brother Gary Pryer. Ned graduated from Parkway High School with the class of 1964. Then proudly served his country in the United States Army until 1968. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. He formerly served as a Police Officer in Greenville for 10 years and retired as a salesman from Francis Furniture after over thirty-five years of service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke C.PP.S. officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Celina, with Military Honors provided by the Celina American Legion Post #210 and the Celina V. F. W. Post #5713. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 and from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina. Attendees are required to wear masks, practice social distancing, and follow the COVID-19 guidelines established by Governor DeWine and the Ohio Department of Health. Memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Endowment Fund 229 W. Anthony St. Celina, Ohio 45822.
