Robert Matthew Schritz, age 83 of Celina, Ohio passed away on Friday March 9, 2018 at the Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater. He was born on Dec.7, 1934 in Celina, Ohio, the son of the late Alois and Eva Marie (Beckman) Schritz. On Sept. 17, 1960 he married Norma Jean Hassan, who lives in Celina. Also surviving are his children Kirt Robert (Paula) Schritz of Coldwater, Kristen Kay (Jeffrey) Bateman of St. Croix, VI, Kyle Alois (Elizabeth) Schritz of Coldwater, six grandchildren Allyson, Ryan, Spencer, Abby, Laci and Erin, two sisters Ann James of Aiken, S. C., Penny Schritz of Lady Lake, Fl and a sister-in-law Jackie Welter of Del Mar, CA. Robert graduated from the Celina High School in 1952. Then he served his country in the United States Marine Corps until 1962. He owned and operated the Napa Auto Parts in Celina. He was a member of the Celina Moose Lodge and the Coldwater Eagles. Robert was an avid golfer and loved to play cards. A Private family interment will be held in the North Grove Cemetery at later date.
