Ruth Marie Wellman, age 88, of Celina passed away at 5:07 a.m. on Thursday May 9, 2013 at the Celina Manor Nursing Home. She was born on April 6, 1925 in Sharpsburg, Ohio to the late Ignatius & Sarah (White) Esser. On April 11, 1945 she married Alfred Wellman, who died on March 15, 1991. Survivors include her daughter Ruthann Brunswick of Celina, three grandchildren Gregg & Michele Brunswick of Marysville, Sara & Gabe Yoder of Lewis Center, Lisa Brunswick of Celina, five great grandchildren Logan & Zaverri Brunswick, Kennedy Yoder, Brittany & Taylor Brunswick, her sister Agnes Luthman of Botkins, one sister-in-law Rosie (Bey) Esser and numerous Nieces & Nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her son-in-law Bernard Brunswick, a granddaughter Tracy Brunswick, three brothers & sisters-in-law Edmund Esser, Fred Esser, Herb & Mary Lynne (Lasley) Esser, 3 sisters & brothers-in-law Mary Margaret & Edwin Sutter, Frances & Norbert Watercutter, Dolores & Cletus Eilerman, Melvin Luthman, brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law Max & Bernice Killen, Rueben & Lucille Sutter and Paul & Esther Wellman. Ruth retired from Mersman brothers and was a caregiver for numerous individuals. She donated her body to the Ohio State University Anatomical Donation Program. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00a.m. on Saturday May 18, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Craig Eilerman officiating.
