Jane B. Miesse

Jane Bertha Miesse, age 68 of Celina, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at the Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima. She was born on April 4, 1953 to the late Lester and Alvira (Hartke) Huwer in Celina. On April 28, 1973 she married Shawn Miesse who survives in Celina. She is survived by her daughters Sara Miesse of Elyria, Amanda Evans of Spencerville, two granddaughters Isabella "Izzy" Evans, Addison "Addy" Evans, siblings Pat (John) Pfister of Ft. Wayne, IN, Nancy (Steve) Ertel of Muncie, IN, John (Cathy) Huwer of Dover, DE, and Barbara (Rick) Flowers of Naples, Fl.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law Judy (Ed) McGillvary and brother Ralph Huwer.

Jane was formerly employed at GTE, then Fanning and Howey, and State Farm as a secretary where she retired. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. She loved being involved with her grandchildren, in every aspect of their lives. She also enjoyed walking her dog Shadow for miles on end and taking care of her many cats. She was a staunch republican and very open with her opinions

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with Fr. Kenneth Schnipke officiating C.PP.S.. Burial will follow in North Grove Cemetery in Celina. Friends and family may call from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Friday, November 26, 2021 and 8:30 - 9:30 A.M. on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.
