Richard C. Stein

Richard Clair "Cowboy" Stein Sr., age 70 of Rockford, Ohio passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater. He was born on January 12, 1952 in Celina, Ohio to the late Wilbur and Alice (Vale) Stein. He is survived by two children Alice Marie (Robert) Huston of Celina, Richard Stein Jr. of Rockford. He is also survived by two grandchildren Joshua Huston and Ethen Huston, his sister Virginia Hague of Rockford and several Nieces and Nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother-in-law Sharon (Richard) Meinerding and a brother-in-law James Hague.
He graduated from Celina High School in 1970. After High School he served his country in the United States Army, in Germany. He was employed by Jimmy Otterbacher Carnival Company until he retired in October of 2018. He was a member of the Grand Lake United Methodist Church in Celina. Richard enjoyed bowling league and fishing.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Mick Whistler officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2022 and an hour before services on Saturday at the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mercer County Chapter of the American Red Cross 2510 State Route 703, Celina, Ohio 45822.
