In these unfortunate times of uncertainty, the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home is following and prioritizing the health and the well-being of the families we serve and our staff. This situation is continually changing and we are watching and evaluating the developments of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and our services for our community.
At this time the State of Ohio has banned public gathering with over 50 people. Our interpretation at this time is that visitations, funerals, and memorial services can still take place as long as there are not more than 50 people in attendance at a time. All services will go on as scheduled, unless a family requests to reschedule or cancel; however, we must still honor and respect the current attendance restrictions. If you are attending services, please follow the CDC recommendations above.
The Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home would ask that everyone respect families as they try to mourn the lose of a loved one and not put others at risk. If you are not feeling well, please stay home. But feel free to offer condolences to the family via the funeral homes website www.LehmanDzendzelFH.com or send offerings of sympathy, directly to the individual. Following funeral services, we will post the recorded service to our website.
If you attend a service at the funeral home, please practice safety first to protect yourself and others in our community.
If you are sick, have a fever, cough or have been sick,
- DO NOT ATTEND SERVICES.
- DO NOT HUG, SHAKE HANDS OR IN OTHER WAYS TOUCH OTHER INDIVIDUALS. KEEP YOUR DISTANCE BETWEEN YOUR SELF AND OTHERS.
- USE HAND SANITIZER. WASH YOUR HANDS. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM TOUCHING SURFACES.
These recommendations may be hard to adhere to but everyone is aware of how vigilant we must be at this time. Please limit your visiting time when in the funeral home so that less people are in the building and everyone can keep “social distance”.
We would ask for your assistance during these public services. Be patient and help us to respectfully honor the individual who has passed, while caring for their families and everyone else in our community.
The Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home has implemented enhanced cleaning throughout our facilities. We are would like to communicate the best health and safety practices to our associates and guest. Follow CDC recommendations to take the usual steps to help prevent the spread of Illness:
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available-based hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Cover your coughs and sneezes with your arm or inner elbow
- Avoid close contact with sick people
- Stay home when you are sick or not feeling well.
